Description
Federal 5.56mm (223) with the 62gr MK318 Mod1 OTM “SOST Barrier Defeating” bullet. It comes packed in 20rd boxes. Non corrosive, annealed brass case, and boxer primer.
The MK318 Mod1 bullet was designed to improve on the M855 bullet and update the Mod0 to a copper core. The SOST (Special Operations Science & Technology) bullet has a copper core that increases performance after defeating a barrier and retains weight for better penetration, while the front section of the bullet fragments. The specs for USMC use were better than 2MOA accuracy, better consistency shot to shot in all temperatures, and better performance from shorter barrels.
